About Me

I grew up in Hervey Bay, QLD, attending high school at Urangan SHS where I studied two strands of IT in my senior years. In my out of school time I was actively involved in a variety of sports, instrumental music, socialising with my friends and furthering my skills in web design and development.

Once I graduated high school, I was accepted in studying a Bachelor of IT at QUT in Brisbane, which was my first choice on my tertiary application. During my first two years of study I lived at Kings College at UQ, where I participated in many of the sporting and cultural activities offered, as well as working in the kitchen and on the grounds staff.

After leaving Kings, I juggled working to support myself with study. I worked as a builder's labourer and as an order assembler in a warehouse as well as completing a number of small web based freelance jobs.

After a few years working and several more studying in Brisbane, I have decided it is time for a change and have chosen Melbourne as my destination. The combination of having friends already living there and the experiences I have had in the city were the deciding factors in the decision.

I would like to continue on as a front end developer, which I am currently employed as by Mooball. This is because I enjoy the work in this area as well as it being most suited to my existing skills.
